| “I think Teen Club was
valuable in giving Chinese-American kids a chance to be with others
who understood their culture and home life. (There were not nearly
as many Chinese kids in our school as there are now.) Even now, my
closer friends are Chinese-American.”

| “Being involved in the
Teen Club while growing up was a very rewarding experience for me.
In addition to making lots of friends I wouldn't have otherwise, the
Teen Club really got me more involved in the Chinese Community,
especially while serving as an officer. At the time, I think I just
thought of it as being a lot of fun. Looking back now, I think I
learned a lot of useful organizational skills while coordinating
Teen Club events, skills I still use today.”

I had a wonderful time being a part of the Teen
Club. Over the years, it allowed me to build upon numerous
friendships that have lasted throughout my life. Being the
President, with many of my friends as area coordinators, gave us the
opportunity to try to recreate an atmosphere that had once allowed
our friendships to flourish.”

“The CACA Teen Club was a great
learning experience, both in developing friendships and new skills.
The main skills the CACA Teen Club taught me were leadership,
teamwork, and organization. These skills assisted me in my college
endeavors. I hope the club continues to grow and reach out to
teenagers where they can bond with other kids of similar
background.”

“My most memorable experiences with
the Teen Club were in planning and attending the Family Camp. In
planning it I witnessed the collaboration and creativity of my
peers, and in attending it I was always reminded of the warmth and
energy of both young and old that is the essence of our local
Chinese-American community. Through the club, I learned early on the
importance of serving one's community and passing on our unique
culture from one generation to the next. “
Angela Lin, 1996-97 President

Currently an Assistant to the Executive Producer at NBC |
| “The CACA Teen Club is devoted to

“I remember being
five, going to the Teen Club activities and wishing I could be a part of
the exalted group. Sometimes we forget that that is exactly what we are:
role models for those impressionable five-year-olds. I just hope that I
will continue to uphold that standard. “
Sabrina Chu, 2004-05 President
Montgomery High School

CACA Teen Club is many clubs rolled
into one. Our activities span many themes: community service, cultural
appreciation, and peer-to-peer advising. From voter-registration drives
to tsunami-relief fundraising, from cultural performances to cancer
awareness marathons and poster contests, the dynamicity of the
organization makes it endlessly exciting and rewarding. Meeting new and
dedicated people at all the events and realizing that I touch not only
the lives of the people I personally help but of all the people and
efforts that my organization supports that has been the most gratifying.
We hold many activities in conjunction with American Cancer Society
events, and our Teen Club's involvement has increased the participation
of younger people in such causes. It is thrilling to see our generation
to become an active force in our community, and that so many teens
become engaged and excited about the people, the community, and the
causes we enrich.
Katrina Chu
2005-2006 President
Montgomery High School

In continuing the tradition of excellence for
thirty years, CACA Teen club has uphold its mission of bringing people
together through sponsored social events, community outreach programs,
and various peer forums.
The impact the organization has made over the
years is remarkable, a simply rare, inspiring feat. Personally, I am
honored to be a part of such a dynamic group of individuals who truly
believe in making a difference in the Asian community. It is always
exhilarating to both witness and experience the effect of our words and
actions on the lives we touch.
